Is Sake Keto-Friendly?
Sake is an alcoholic beverage that can be consumed on the keto diet as long as it is consumed in moderation. It has a relatively high carb value and low fat content, meaning only small amounts should be drunk on keto.

- As an alcoholic beverage with a relatively high carb content, sake is best drunk only in moderation on the keto diet. With 5g of net carbs and no fat content, it is not the most keto-friendly drink.
- Sake is extremely low in fat. On the keto diet, you should increase your daily fat intake by supplementing your diet with healthy, high-fat foods, like eggs and heavy cream.
- It is also relatively high in carbohydrates, which is why it needs to be limited on the keto diet.
Moderate Amount of Carbohydrates
- It is important to reduce your carbohydrate intake to around 20–30g per day when on the keto diet to maintain the metabolic state of ketosis.

- While alcohol is allowed on the keto diet, it is recommended that you limit your alcohol intake to no more than two beverages a day.
- Alcohol can harm your health, and excessive consumption may slow fat burning.
If you plan to consume alcohol on keto, opt for low-carb beverages, like bourbon and vodka, and avoid sugary mixers.
