Yes, matcha is keto-friendly because it contains no net carbohydrates. This means it can’t disrupt ketosis or pull you out of that fat-burning state. There are also no saturated fats or added sugars, which is great for someone who wants to lose weight and keep it off in the long term.

Keto-Friendly 

  • There are 0 grams of net carbs per 100 grams of matcha, making it great for the ketogenic diet. You can drink this beverage without worrying about ketosis or losing weight. The lack of carbs encourages your body to burn stubborn fat instead of any glycogen stores.
  • Even though this product is keto-friendly, you should still be aware of the calories. In 100 grams of matcha, there are 500 calories, but this doesn’t equal one serving. One teaspoon (2 grams) only contains 10 calories, which is great for your weight loss.
