Is Hot and Sour Soup Keto-Friendly?

Hot and sour soup is a keto-friendly dish, but only in moderation. It doesn’t meet the ideal macro requirements for the ketogenic diet, as it contains moderate amounts of carbohydrates and is low in fats. Eat this soup only on occasion to remain in ketosis.

Keto if Limited

  • If you want to eat hot and sour soup, make sure you limit it in your keto meal plan. It is not the most suitable dish for keto because it has barely any fat and a fair amount of carbohydrates. However, you don’t have to eliminate it entirely.
  • Try saving this spicy dish for an occasion or as a midweek treat when you’re craving some spice. In the meantime, you can enjoy kimchi, homemade salsa, and jalapenos in moderation when you’re after something with a kick.
